Downpatrick & County Down Railway
Currently the only (Irish!) standard gauge preserved line on the island of Ireland, based in the old town of Downpatrick the line boasts an interesting triangular network formed when the former terminus station acquired an avoiding line. While mainly running industrial steam, the line is home to several former Iarnród Éireann diesels, many under the care of the Irish Traction Group, and in October 2014 an event was held to commemorate 25 years of the ITG.
